The 2019 Nissan Altima SR shares 'All-Stars' award space with a Ferrari and Porsche!

At our dealership the Nissan Altima is our most popular and best-stocked sedan, and it regularly goes up against heavy hitters like the Honda Accord and Toyota Camry. That’s why we're super excited to announce that the 2019 Nissan Altima SR trim - which is one up from the base model - was named to the 2019 All-Stars list!

Now, this is a big deal because the Nissan Altima SR shares room on the list with models like the Ferrari 812 Superfast (yes, that's really its name), the Mercedes-Benz G550 "G-Wagon", and the Porsche 911 GT2 RS. Naturally, auto journalists and racers were drawn to the high-end performance models, but once they got behind the wheel of the Nissan Altima SR they were pleasantly surprised by its performance.

Race car driver and contributor of Automobile Magazine wrote "beware those who underestimate this car...I kid you not, the engine was a really big surprise. It's not buzzy, it sounds good, and it's quick."

So, what specs is the Nissan Altima SR packing? Well, the model has a 2.0L turbo DOHC engine with 248 horsepower and 280 lb-ft torque. That torque really pulls the Altima SR along, and you'll enjoy it when you're passing on the highway, darting around the city, or going on a weekend backroad drive.

Here a few other highlights on this fun and fast Altima:

  • You get a sport-tuned suspension for more performance-focused handling
  • You can play at driving manual with the paddle shifters that have a manual shift mode
  • There's LED headlights so you can see easily on drives once the sun starts to go down
  • A dark, trim-specific chrome grille stands out and tells people you mean business

If you're ready to get behind the wheel of the vehicle that's on the same list as a Ferrari, stop into our dealership this week. We have a few 2019 Nissan Altima SR trims on hand and we'd love for you to experience its surprising performance.
