Many shortcomings insight

This 2019 Altima 2.5 SL drives nicely and soft on 17 inch wheels. 2.5L engine has a sufficient power. CVT transmission works fine. Though, in my opinion, it substantially lacks driving dynamics and pleasure of the automatic transmission with gears. Steering is precise and on-center. Brakes work very well. Navigation system is simple, but intuitive and entry commands are easy. Bose audio system sounds OK for this vehicle segment, but nothing extraordinary. Trunk space is adequate. Rear seats are comfortable and visibility is good. Heated steering wheel is an incredible feature. Once you try it, you will never want to get the car without it. These are the good things about this vehicle and now are the shortcomings. Front passenger seat is awfully uncomfortable. The seat cushion does not go up nor down, nor does it recline. It feels like you are sitting flat on the floor. There is no lumbar support. Long drives are very uncomfortable and unpleasant. Please remember this is one of the top trims of this vehicle. There is no ventilation for front seats and rear seats are not heated. Interior is very dim at night time as there are no LED interior lights and regular bulbs with foggy lenses do not provide a good illumination. The buttons for the lights feel cheap and loose. Tail lights are not LED neither and their illumination is dim and out of date. Headlights are LEDs, but their range is short and visibility is marginal. Ford Fusion, Honda Accord and Mazda 6 offers all the above mentioned features for about the same price. The infotainment screen is not tilted towards the driver and it is hard to see sometimes with sun glare. Also it is destructive to reach to the screen every time you need to change anything as there is no separate controller knob like in Mazda. Climate control for some reason does not maintain the set temperature. The interior materials look and feel cheap, especially on the door panels. Front doors rattle when you close them and dashboard speaker covers are misaligned. The sunroof size is very small. In my opinion, there are many shortcomings and cost saving signs. They are very visible, not attractive nor they are comfortable. - 5.0

Nissan has nailed it and finally came up with a design that millenials and new comers alike would love! This vehicle is beautifully crafted and it very appealing on and off road. Fast, sleek, and sexy!
